PORTABLE CONTROL TELEPHONE 2 WIRE / 4 WIRE WITH CODE GENERATOR

SCOPE :-

The Portable Control Telephone with code generator is a part of the 4 Wire / 2 Wire Emergency Train Traffic control system which provides intercommunication between any way side point along the Train Route and the Controller with 4 Wire / 2 Wire Portable Control Telephone – selects by itself for communication with traffic controller, as per provision in socket – located along the Railway tracks for 4 Wire / 2 Wire lines.

The unit can be connected through 6 pin socket with the switch for selecting for 4 Wire / 2 Wire operations is housed in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene [ABS].

The “USER” has to operate the Micro – Switch [Press to Talk] till his conversation is over.

4 wire is re-designated as EMERGENCY CONTROL with RED lettering at top and 2 wire as STATION with GREEN lettering at bottom.

It has additional feature of separate “CALL” Button for calling for point to point communications.

FEATURES :-

1. The system works on 3V DC [1.5V X 2 Dry CELL – Pencil Cells]. The batteries are housed in a leak proof compartment.

2. The Telephone instruments is moulded of ABS [Acrylonitrile Butadiene Stryrene] plastic powder.

3. Glass Epoxy PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD [P.C.B.] is used for better environmental performance.

4. Ferrite core Transformers are used for miniaturization and better quality performance.

5. The Telephone unit has Trans and Receive speech circuits.

6. Condenser Microphone & Electrodynamic transducer are used for Transmitter & Receiver respectively.

7. Visual Indication:

               Dual LED [5mm] :-

                     i) Green LED for power ON indication.

                     ii) Red LED for low battery voltage [10% below normal voltage].

8. Equipment should be protected from:

                    i) Surge & transients current from lightning.

                   ii) Acoustic protections to receiver.

                  iii) Reverse Polarity.

9. High reliability and sturdy switches are provided for “PRESS TO TALK”, “CALL”, “4 Wire / 2 Wire” selection and “ON-OFF” operations.

10. It has built in DTMF code generator in 2 wire. DTMF code is generated by pressing “CALL” switch.
