SCOPE :-
The Light Weight Portable Control Telephone [LWPCT] is a part of the 4 Wire / 2 Wire Emergency Train Traffic control system which provides intercommunication between any way side point along the Train Route and the Controller with 4 Wire / 2 Wire LWPCT – selects by itself for communication with traffic controller, as per provision in socket – located along the Railway tracks for 4 Wire / 2 Wire lines.
The caption LWPCT UNIT can be connected through 6 pin socket with the switch for selecting for 4 Wire / 2 Wire operations is housed in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene [ABS].
The “USER” has to operate the Micro – Switch [Press to Talk] till his conversation is over.
FEATURES :-
- The system works on 3V DC [1.5V X 2 Dry CELL – Pencil Cells].
- The batteries are housed in a leak proof compartment.
- The Telephone instruments is moulded of ABS [Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene] plastic powder.
- Glass Epoxy PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD [P.C.B.] is used for better environmental performance.
- Ferrite core Transformers are used for miniaturization and better quality performance.
- The LWPCT Telephone unit has Trans and Receive speech circuits.
- Condenser Microphone & Electro Dynamic transducer are used for Transmitter & Receiver respectively.
- Visual Indication:
Dual LED [5mm] :-
- Green LED for power ON indication.
- Red LED for low battery voltage [10% below normal voltage].
- Equipment should be protected from:
a) Surge & transients current from lightning.
b) Acoustic protections to receiver.
c) Reverse Polarity. - For 2 wire connection, separate L1 & L2 terminals are provided at the bottom of the telephone body.
- High reliability and sturdy switches are provided for “PRESS TO TALK”, “4 Wire / 2 Wire” selection and “ON-OFF” operations.
