SCOPE :-

Communication between Relay Room & Panel Room was conducted by talking LOUDER or SHOUTING from one room to another. This used to disturb others. In order to avoid the disturbance and to have instant communication, Hand Free Intercom DTMF System for RRI Station [HFD-103] was developed.

FEATURES: –

1. The unit works on 110V AC OR 12 V DC OR 24 V DC.
2. All Unit Cabinets are of M.S., which are duly Powder Coated in Siemens Gray Colour.
3. The Printed Circuit Boards are of Glass – Epoxy – duly coated with high quality lacquer & Green Masking to protect copper tracks from moisture.
4. Ferrite core Transformers are used for miniaturization and better quality performance.
5. All identical four units have the facility to call other three units individually, by operating corresponding selective switches.
6. All four Units can have communication by operating individually respective selective switches.
7. The system has “PRESS TO CALL” facility. When the selective Switch at caller unit is operated for other Receiver Units; a DTMF Signal is transmitted to the Receiver Units. There will be Audio and Visual alarm indications on the receiver Units, which attracts the attention at other end.
8. Visual & Audio Indications:-
   a)   RED LED [5mm] – Power “ON” indication.
   b)   Green LED [5mm] – Incoming Ring & Buzzer for audible tone.
9. On getting an Audio & Video indication, the Caller unit will Switch ON the system and starts the conversation, without operating any Switch.
10. When a Caller Unit desires to call any Receiver units, the Audio & Video indications will be received even when the Receiver Unit is on “OFF” position.
11. In all units, Amplifier with 20 Watts external Speaker is provided for clear communication. (Also available with 2 Watts external Speaker.)
12. To all units two condenser microphones are provided – one at front & one at the back – operative by a Toggle Switch one at a time, for directional reception of conversation.
13. Following extra facilities are provided:
    a)     4 way DTMF Phone of “ACES” make only, can be installed on same pair of conductors in place of HFD Unit.
    b)     One pair of conductor is required between all the Units [Omnibus principal].
    c)     DTMF signaling is incorporated in the system.
